Fast Lay Ditch System

for Reinforcing Drainage Channels along Roads and Railway Tracks

The ideal erosion protection for drainage ditches at the side of roadways; can be installed easily and cost-favourably, reducing maintenance costs.

• Woven structure with cross-ties between the cells for optimised root anchorage and improved drainage within the panel, especially on the inclined areas or at the foot of the ditch.
• Optimal percolation into the subsoil.
• Open side walls guarantee optimal anchorage of elements at the transition between the soil layer and the panel flooring, since the roots can grow unhindered and over the weave.
• The special attachment system mutually stabilises the height of adjoining elements, thus eliminating the possibility of a height mismatch. Soil pins (18 per panel = 54 per element) secure the panel against displacement.
• At the angle or the transition from the base to the incline, the webbing on the neighbouring panels interlocks and thus provides additional stability.
• The format is in accordance with the general regulations for installation (40 cm in the base area, and 40 cm respectively in the area of the inclines).
• The panels are attached using flex clips, allowing for problem-free adaptation to individual ditch profiles. Thus, for example, the profile in the inlet areas can be smoothed out to avoid stepping. Range of angle from 0 - 90°.
• The pattern on the panels links them together firmly. Using additional clips (3 per element), the individual elements can also be firmly connected with one another over the run.

Advantages

• The low weight (approx. 3.4 kg per element) reduces logistics expenditure at the construction site considerably.
• A 50 cm ditch profile is laid in a single working stage.
• To a large extent, there is no need to provide heavy equipment on the construction site.
• The thinness of the webbing means that close on 100% greening is achievable.
• Smaller differences in soil levels are not noticeable due to the solid connection between the elements, thereby reducing the need for expensive finishing works.
